country music star partners with local clothing Manufacturer

Legendary performer Larry Gatlin joins forces with

Diamond Gusset to promote “Made in America”

(Blue Ridge, Georgia – June 10, 2014) – Diamond Gusset Jeans, a local manufacturer of men’s and women’s blue jeans, has been producing the world’s best jeans since 1987.  Driven by drastically reduced manufacturing costs, many US manufacturers outsourced their workforce overseas beginning in the early 1990’s. This resulted in a significant decline in the American manufacturing workforce.  As a result, many American families suffered economically contributing to the recession that America faced at the turn of the 21st century.

Country music giant, Larry Gatlin, has joined forces with American manufacturers to place a new emphasis on buying products made in the United States.  The American Legend Series is a collaboration of Made in America businesses inciting a movement to Buy American, bringing jobs and profits back to American soil. The program consists of new top of the line dress jeans  and western jackets made in the United States and carrying the Larry Gatlin name.  The American Legend Series 2014 Holiday Collection presented by Gatlin, the Legend Series’ first official Legend, will debut in October for the holiday season.

Diamond Gusset, headquartered in Bon Aqua, TN, and utilizing a manufacturing facility in Blue Ridge, GA, specializes in high quality basic and fashion-forward denim wear.  Founded 28 years ago, the company is proud to produce 100% American-made products.  For the Larry Gatlin Collection, the company will be using the best ring-spun denim produced by American Cotton Growers, one of the few domestic mills left in the United States, and will be implementing state of the art finishes, including tinting and wet processing.

“At Diamond Gusset, we are proud to walk into this busy production facility, see smiling faces and know we are part of a solution for the problem our country is now facing,” David Hall, co-founder and CEO of Diamond Gusset Jeans.  “We are keeping Americans where they should be – making for ourselves, doing for ourselves.”

Hall and his other partners in the project, Robin Worley, CEO of The Sewell Companies, and Randall Redding, founder of Mill Town Music Hall, chose Larry Gatlin as the first role model of the Legend Series because he represents the values the group is calling every American to follow.

We’ve sent a lot of jobs and money all around the world buying products from other places,” said Gatlin.  “I will do everything in my power to help America get out of the pickle she is in and return to her former greatness. To that end, I am in the process of taking everything out of my closet and my life that was not made in America, except for my 20-year-old Mercedes and my 40-year-old Alvarez guitar, both of which I bought long before we got in this pickle.”

More information can be found soon on the program’s website at www.americanlegendusa.com or by contacting the Legend Series at 678-378-8601.
